I love being able to manipulate light inside of Photoshop. For this particular picture, I wanted to get rid of what was going on outside and bring the focus back to the subject. I wanted the illusion of dreamy glowing light flooding in through the doors. Practice painting with your brush tool, because you can do amazing things with it!!
So many sessions to edit and post!! You may still be seeing summer sessions this winter! Also keep checking the blog, some exciting things ahead for CRAVE!
What can I say, Dustee and Andrew are just flat out gorgeous! They have been so fun and so laid back. Dustee is such a carefree easy going gal and Andrew was so willing to do whatever I asked!! I was a little worried about the bridals with a horse because I had never photographed one before, but I love the feel of these photographs. Despite thick gloomy clouds and the threat of horrible weather, the clouds decided to part and the sun came out just in time for our shoot! We had the most incredible back light! So excited for their upcoming wedding at the Salt Lake temple in a few weeks! Some of my favorite pictures to date!
This was just a simple shot I took of my daughter sitting in our office. Good window light coming in. Nothing fancy, in fact the backdrop of the office chair is ugly. But if you get creative (the brush tool is what I used), you can manipulate your backgrounds to blend and be more pleasing.
Couldn't decide between color or B&W!
Dustee's groomals with a horse coming up next! Keep your eye out because they are fantastic!!
Sometimes it's just fun to patch in a fake sky! I didn't like the busy background of this picture, but I loved the shot. Decided to patch in a fake sky (which isn't always easy or fast)! Added a texture to kind of blend things better, and a bit of blurring to make it a little more whimsical and romantic! Now I love the look and feel of the picture! Have a great weekend everyone!
Check out this stunning bride! I have known Betsy for a while now, I remember meeting her and her cute daughter Kenzie years ago. Kenzie isn't so little anymore, she is growing up so fast! Betsy and Jeff will be married in just a few short weeks and I am getting excited for their wedding day at the Salk Lake temple. Thanks Betsy for trusting my locations. I love the shabby chic feel of this first location. So light and dreamy!
